Top Neighborhoods

East Side is a conglomeration of neighborhoods separated from East Providence by the Sekonk River. The East Sides houses most of Brown University's facilities and the Rhode Island School of Design. The East Side neighborhood has within its borders numerous independent shops, restaurants, and cafes adjoining Brown University to South Walter Street. The housing stock is tailored to the needs of the University community, which in a lot of ways, makes it very affordable.

The Jewelry District is a neighborhood located just south of Downtown Providence. As its name suggests, the neighborhood was once home to a large number of jewelry manufacturing companies beginning in the 19th century.
